Although Dutch is not a world language, it is still the mother tongue of 24 million people in Europe, of which about 17.5 million live in the Netherlands and approximately 6.5 million in Belgium. Outside the Netherlands and Belgium Dutch is spoken by roughly 1 million people, more precisely in Surinam, Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles (Bonaire, Curaçao and Sint Maarten), where it is an official language. Afrikaans, one of the official languages of South Africa, is also closely related to Dutch and is not difficult to understand for Dutch speakers.

Speaking Dutch offers many advantages in Bulgaria. During the last 15 years many contact centers have settled in Bulgaria, especially but not exclusively in the capital Sofia, to serve the Dutch and Belgian market (customer service, technical support, …), and they are constantly looking for employees with a good knowledge of Dutch.

And of course speaking Dutch is a great asset if you are looking for a job in the Netherlands or Belgium.

To meet this demand, Niderlandika organizes Dutch courses for beginners (levels A1 and A2) and advanced learners (B1 and B2).
If you don’t want to follow a full course but just want to brush up certain language skills, or if you want to prepare for the annual exams of the CNaVT (Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language), we will also gladly help you with that.

Do you have a document in Bulgarian, Macedonian, Russian, French, German or English that needs to be translated into Dutch? Or from Dutch to one of the above languages? Then you can rely on our many years of translation experience.
